Well, here we are...

Every person, every website and every article is pointing me towards writing a blog. I have been told to write a blog for years. Welp, let's try this thing out. I thank you for taking the time to check out my site. Let's start with a quick introduction.

I'm your host, Ms. Donshay.

Me: I'm a proud millennial (not the geriatric version). I'm a black woman that loves being a black woman. I love to compliment other black women and little black girls. I'm a mother who is still healing from childhood trauma while raising my child with a mix of old-school wisdom and progressive thinking. Most times, I just follow my gut and pray I'm not messing up too bad.

I enjoy reading and learning. I love to learn about so many different things. Sometimes I will spend hours copying and pasting articles that interest me into a word document and then printing about 500 pages of random STUFF. I read it all and take notes.

There are so many things that I could talk about here. All of the "how to blog" articles discuss monetization and how to make the most money from your blog. I get it. It's a hustle for some. For me, this is an outlet. I will keep it organized but I will be keeping it real. I don't spend all day talking about one particular thing. I wish I could simply focus on home improvement, dog houses, or knitting socks, but that's not me. I'll be talking about it all and trying to be helpful. I hope to be relatable and to have some dialogue with you all.

One more time for those in the back: This is not one of those picture-perfect blogs. I make mistakes. I overthink. I'm lazy sometimes. I will be sharing my opinions and experiences. What works for me may not work for you. I'm transparent, humble, and always wanting to improve.
