Wow, this really took off...

Please excuse my delay in posting. I have been super busy. I'm very PROUD of being this super busy. Within 5 days of starting my Virtual Assistant business, I was booked. Six amazing, fabulous women booked Melanated Audacity for services. Of course, Imposter Syndrome set in IMMEDIATELY. I was thinking "What have I gotten myself into?" In those moments, I sometimes forget who I am and what I'm capable of doing. Each Discovery Call was like chatting with an old friend at Starbucks. They believed in me and I believed in them. I remembered to set boundaries. I remembered my WORTH.

I received my assignments and got to work. Boy oh boy, did I get to work. My current 9-5 is not challenging and can be done in my sleep. I have been able to stretch my brain, use my creative problem-solving skills and SERVE greatness via Melanated Audacity. Let me tell y'all. It felt good. It feels good. I am continuing to book clients now. I am excited.

Along with being busy and doing what I love, I'm actually reading and writing more. I don't know how that works. I add on more work and then I find more time for hobbies? I'll take it though. What am I reading? Thanks for asking. LOL. I'm reading "The Blackbirds" by Eric Jerome Dickey (RIP). If you have ever read a book by EJD, then you know his writing is amazing. It pulls you into the pages. Next on the list is: "Finding Gideon" by EJD, "The Wedding Date" by Jasmine Guillory, and "An American Marriage: A Novel" by Tayari Jones. Tayari is a Spelman Sister that also does wonders with her words.

I'd love to know what you are reading or if you have something to recommend. Leave a comment with your favorite book or author. I will make it a point to check in more often. I'm making sure to remember that the blog came before the business so I can't abandon it. It is surprisingly easy for me to blog because there is no objective. I'm not looking to sell or teach. I'm just writing to write. I love to write. Thanks for reading.
